Hello all! My name is Alicia, and I am one of your new vice club captains. I am a competitive swimmer who trains with the regional squad, and I joined Gloucester City Swimming Club back in 2013, when I was 7 years old! I mostly swim long distance events and my favourite things about the club are the friendships which I have made and the feeling of pride which I experience after having a good race.

I am excited to work alongside the swimmers, coaches, and the committee in order to provide necessary feedback and ensure everyone’s voice feels heard. I would love for the club to maintain the positive and friendly environment in which it is currently in. I will make myself present in each squads’ training session to enable myself to be recognized by swimmers and parents as not only a role model but also a companion who they feel comfortable to talk to and welcome to approach me at any point.

I look forward to working with the other vice-captain and the club captain to bring in new ideas and uphold the club’s community and succession.
