Hi everyone, I’m Mae and I’m the new Club Captain this year here at GCSC. I’m in Year 12 at Tommies school in Gloucester, doing my first year of A levels.

Swimming has been a massive part of my life for as long as I can remember. My first ever swimming gala was when I was six, and now, ten years later, I’ve ended up as a competitive swimmer in the national squad, and I’m really looking forward for the upcoming season with the club.

My aim as captain is to create a fun, friendly, positive environment where every swimmer is happy and keen to swim throughout the year. I will be working closely with the other captains, coaches and the committee to ensure that GCSC is the best it can possibly be. We believe every swimmer deserves to have their voice and opinions heard so if you have any ideas or questions feel free to come and have a chat with me anytime.

I can’t wait to get to know everyone, hopefully you will all start to see me around a bit more if you don’t already, at the moment I help out with the county squad and I will do the same with each squad throughout the year.
